Het aantal woorden op een website is een telling van één pagina, niet de totale inhoud van een domein. Menu's, voetteksten en herhaalde navigatie kunnen het hoofdtotaal verhogen zonder iets toe te voegen aan het hoofdartikel.
Gebruik hoofdtekst voor de tekstinhoud van de pagina na uitsluitingen. Kies Hoofd/artikel om alle hoofdelementen te tellen, of alle artikelelementen als er geen hoofdelementen bestaan. Als geen van beide bestaat, vraagt de tool je om Hoofdtekst te kiezen in plaats van stil te raden.
From page source to counted text

Same example, two useful totals
The interactive example contains “Home About”, a main heading “Small garden guide”, a paragraph “Grow herbs in sunny spaces.” and “Contact us”. Body text counts 12 words; Main / article counts 8. The hidden paragraph and page title contribute zero.
Change the scope and run the example again to inspect the difference. A smaller main-content count means surrounding page text was excluded; it is not a quality score.
